Puncture wounds can be caused  from a splinter of wood in you finger, stepping on a nail to being stabbed or shot. Puncture wounds must be taken seriously as foreign objects are forced into the wound itself, such as dirt and bacteria. Here's an article for the cause, care and treatment of puncture wounds:
