FYI: Craftsman/Lowes Tools
Husband's 30 year old Craftsman rachet-head gave up to ghost. He went to Ace to get a replacement as Ace has Craftsman tools and he figured it was worth a shot. Ace will replace if it is the exact same model number...however, they didn't have his exact ratchet-head.
So they referred him to Lowes, which bought out Craftsman. Lowes replaced the tool for free, even though it had gone through several model numbers since he bought it.
Just an FYI if any of you have old Craftsman tools that need to be replaced, check with Lowes.
Husband was also informed that Sears stores no longer replace Crafstman tools (there are still a few, including one in our town, that will not be closing).
