Seems the west and midwest are suffering from a megadrought situation. They say this is the worse drought in 1200 years.

Even the great Salt Lake in Utah is drying up, the lowest 2 years ever recorded. AND gives off arsenic laced dust clouds:

The drought has even reached me, and this place hasn't seen a drought since 2012. Thankfully, our lakes are still full. Can't say the same for anyone West of Kansas City.

Hey TRex, just curious, can you drill a well where you live.

Here in the area I live, in town you're required to hook up to their water, but, they let you drill a well for watering your garden, washing your vehicles, etc., I live in the township, so I have two wells, no town water.

Yes, some people, and a couple of the cities around here have wells.

Since this is a sandstone and limestone mountain range, there are some financial issues. I know one city owned well, East of the White River, that is 1200 feet deep, driven into the ancient aquifer that underlies all of the area. Can't imagine what that cost, or why they didn't just pull water from the White River (or Bull Shoals Lake).

I have heard some people drill less than 200 feet and have reliable water, others didn't find water.
