All you’ll need to accomplish this is a kiddie pool and a few pieces of sod; put the sod in the pool and place it in your garage or anywhere else safe, so that your dog can do their business without going outside.   ---CONTINUED---

A friend set up a small gravel pit in her yard as a landscape feature. She trained her dogs to only potty in the pit. She then hoses the gravel down and the poop is dispersed into the soil below. Basically, a giant litter box.

I do like the idea of training a dog to go in a small kiddie pool with sod, though. If one leaves for any length if time during the day, the dog would know where it could go, if one is gone longer than intended.
