Blackout of 2003 Empty Blackout of 2003

Remember the big blackout of 2003 that affected the northeast and Canada (55,000,000 people). This is just one of the reasons I prepare and so should you:

Yep - we used to live in PA, fortunately by then, we'd moved. That said, I prep because as a former traveling military family, we've experienced too many natural disasters and 3rd world countries to NOT prep.

I have often wondered just how long it will take from the time the lights go out, until the less desirable factions of the population begin showing why they are less desirable.

Of course it will depend on what time of day the event occurs, and exactly how much damage is done. Simple power grid outage would be much different from a massive EMP.
