West Nile virus detected in a Central Pa. mosquito, more testing to come

A mosquito carrying the West Nile virus was recently detected in York County, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection Vector Management.

A sample collected by the York County Mosquito Surveillance Program on July 29 in Springettsbury Township yielded the first 2019 positive result in the county.
