While we must not forget that the true healing the Lord brings is healing of the soul, there are many occasions where God (in the form of the Holy Spirit) will heal physically, as well.

In James 5:14, we are told that if anyone is sick, we (the elders in the Church) should bring both, medicine and prayers.
