Think Calories-How Many Will You Need
In a long term situation where food is hard to get or not even being able to get any food, your food storage should be based on calorie intake.
An average individual normally eats around 2000 calories a day. When buying long term food storage items you must take into consideration your calorie intake.
For instance, wise food is selling a one month emergency food supply in another catelog for $89.99, it contains 112 servings (this includes drinks) and a total of 19,520 total calories for 30 days. That's only 650 calories a day versus 60,000 for a month at 2,000 calories a day.
What I'm saying is be aware of what you purchase, read everything that is on any companies label, because if you don't, you're only screwing yourself.
