As of Tue March 24 at midnight Indiana shuts down for business for 2 weeks

The Virus finally made it to Washington county That's where I live....

I now have people less than 2 mile from me self quarantining..

It seems that our Governor with all his wisdom has decided to open the state back up for business on may the 1st....

It has come to my attention that the Governor of the fine state of Indiana is a dumbass

I see were other states are opening back up I think its a very bad idea...

Does anybody else have any opinions on this ????

I believe the response was due to what we were seeing in China & Italy in the BEGINNING. It's what we had in front of us. And I agreed with that response at THAT TIME. It also seems that what we see NOW does not match with what we EXPECTED. I still do NOT agree that this virus is less than/no worse than annual flu. I also read and follow what happens with people (young & old) . That's just as frightening. Symptoms/resulting attacks on the body are NOT the same. I also believe that based on the current #'s of probably already infected we consider a SLOW soft opening of the country. (Georgia is NOT doing a 'soft opening' and I'm waiting to see what happens there) It should be opened & CLOSELY MONITORED in rural areas & areas where spread is next to nothing. BUT ... be ready to back off immediately if spread picks up again. MANY areas are NOT ready to start up again.

If a state opens it slowly, like curbside delivery, maintaining the 6 foot distance, masks, etc.. Like ReadyMom said, not like Georgia, beauty salons, barber shops, etc. I think the virus will just spread faster.

Just remember, all grocery stores, homedepots, walmarts, etc., have been open from the beginning, they just take extra precautions.

That's just it I don't think that they will be willing to back off and reissue quarantine orders again once they open the state up...

I think its going to be a wild ride before everything is said and done Sigh

I worry about that too. I keep saying that the virus decides. If #'s are high enough. People won't have a choice. Or they'll pay the price.

Well it looks like we are going to be required to wear a mask to go in to any place of business or face a fine....

A lot of folks here in this little town already wear one but you still have the holdouts with the excuses....

I am waiting to see how the Amish folks react to the new rule...
