2021 August Prep Updates

Got things buttoned up prior to the arrival of Henri this past weekend. Did all my last minute shopping trips as soon as market and wholesale clubs opened. Crowds were busier than normal, but it was still too early in the morning for most folks, especially since we weren't expecting bad weather until 24 hours later.
Fortunately Henri slowed down, both in forward movement and in wind speeds so when it made landfall the damage was mainly in Rhode Island and Connecticut. Very little wind damage in MA, although we'll be getting rain again tonight as the remnants make another pass on the way out towards the Canadian maritimes. And given how much rain we've had lately any wind has the chance to knock trees over and mess up utility power/cable connections.
But our property has no trees tall enough to hit the house and with a generator all I'll lose if the power goes out is our Comcast TV and Internet. So not worried about Henri's second visit scheduled tonight.
Quite glad it didn't turn out like Bob back from 1991.
