BioSecurity in Backyard Flocks

BioSecurity in Backyard Flocks
The US has been lucky, for the past half dozen years. Avian flu has brought havoc upon Europe, year after year, and we have been almost entirely spared.
But it looks like things have shifted, somewhere in the ecosystem, and now Avian Flu is here.
It travels through wild bird populations, but it puts backyard (and the big commercial producers, also) at risk.
Here are two links, worth looking at, for keepers of backyard chicken flocks.

There are, of course a myriad of other emerging threats that fall under this heading, such as visitors from animal rights groups, and other people who could bring disease into your location, but this one seems to be hitting the fan, right now.

Another resource that some of you may have already seen (or not):
https://ncdc.unl.edu/pdfs/AvianInfluenzaBackyardFlocks.pdf
Not too technical, mostly deals with commercial flocks, even though it mentions back yard flocks a couple times. It isn't too bad, but I think I would have to call foul on their disinfecting solution:

40% clorox is mild? It sounds like something that would dissolve the shell on an egg, rather than disinfect it.What should I use to disinfect shoes/equipment/eggs? A low to mild Clorox solution (three parts bleach to two parts water), soapy sanitizers, or other disinfectants mixed per label instructions.

And, here is another, more recent one. Plus, it has more concrete answers for the backyard flock, since that is what it is geared to:
