Trump Trial-Ramifications?
So, 'judge' has made it easier, than I can ever remember, to get a conviction for Trump. I'm envisioning a verdict of guilty w/out a UNANIMOUS jury vote. Then the 'judge' will make a quick-turn-around in sentencing & toss Trump into jail ASAP.
What then? We've been wondering how the people will respond to a lost election. Civil discourse? What about a lost criminal case with him in jail? Will people respond to THAT? When do people get thrown over the edge?
People have generally been quiet.

Re: Trump Trial-Ramifications?
If found guilty, I don't believe he will (hung jury), he won't go to jail.
The judge will give him 6 months house arrest, which goes past election day and he can't go out and run for president.
There's an old saying my one grandfather used to say, "Never kick a sleeping dog, you might get bit".
There will be riots in the streets.

The judge has broken several rules of jurisprudence and violated the sixth amendment. There is clear evidence he is colluding with the prosecution, and evidence that both are being paid to prosecute.ReadyMom wrote:So, 'judge' has made it easier, than I can ever remember, to get a conviction for Trump. If this were a civilized part of America, both would be disbarred.
Sadly, I hope there is, but I am not actually confident that good people will riot for a good cause.rick1 wrote:...

Two quotes comes to mind:ReadyMom wrote:What then? We've been wondering how the people will respond to a lost election. Civil discourse? What about a lost criminal case with him in jail? Will people respond to THAT? When do people get thrown over the edge?

1. "War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse." -- John Stuart Mill
2. In every war, there are those who have no real position, take no stand, or are willing to compromise. In the end, at the least, they are irrelevant, and at the worst, treasonous.

I hope Trump doesn't get convicted, but sadly I don't see any way around it. The dem. will stop at nothing to keep Pedo Joe in office. I too hope for protest, but I don't see that happening nobody seems to care..
I am a old man and I would still fight for this country ( I was never relieved from the oath I took in 77 ). To be honest a lot of people remind me of lemmings. They are walking towards the edge of the cliff.
I am expecting the worse and praying for it not to happen that's all any of us can do at this stage of the game
Stay safe folks

Yes, I think America may be in that "decayed and degraded state" that John Stuart Mill referred to.Dave58 wrote:I hope Trump doesn't get convicted, but sadly I don't see any way around it. It is easy for the Left to get bad people to do bad things.ReadyMom wrote:GUILTY ... on ALL Accounts. Now we wait and see ....
But, it is hard to get good people to do bad things (even when it would be justified), especially when the nation is in that "decayed and degraded state" that John Stuart Mill referred to.
