Ax-How to Restore an Old One
https://www.artofmanliness.com/articles/how-to-restore-an-heirloom-axe/

With the success of Gransfors Bruks, boutique axes have mushroomed in popularity over the last decade or so. If you are lucky enough to compare a Gransfors, a Wetterlings, a Council Tool, or any of the other available high quality axes to the generic trunk-slapper available at your nearby hardware store, you will be amazed at the cutting ability of even a small camping axe. ---CONTINUED---

https://alphasurvivalist.net/axe-vs-hatchet/

Axes and Hatchets Whats-the-difference-between-an-axe-and-a-hatchet-featured-image1200-1024x439 Although they are similar in appearance and they can be used for similar purposes in situations that are just about the same, there are a few very real differences between an axe and the best survival hatchet.
