Prescription Drugs
Stocking up on your prescription drugs may not be easy, but it can be done. I'm on a blood pressure medicine, what I do is ask the doctor for same samples and give me a prescription for a 90 day supply with 3 refills. 7 days before I'm due for the next refill, I call it in and pick it up the next day, this gives me 1 week of extra medicine.
I've been doing this for years, every time I see the doctor, hey Doc, give me some samples. I now have about a years worth of medicine. My wife does the same thing, also the same Doctor.

Re: Prescription Drugs
Good idea, I'l talk to Husband about this - he has a lot of prescription meds.
I am also trying to learn as much as I can about some herbal remedies for some of the ailments, just in case.
Of course, some have no herbal alternative.

Re: Prescription Drugs
Our daughter is on a 'controlled substance' for ADD. That is a VERY hard one to try and get ahead of, with storage! Scripts are tightly monitored.

A Prescription for Preparedness

(SNIP) ... While taking stock of your family’s prescriptions, you notice that you’re running low on a few maintenance medications. You have enough to see you through the next 7 to 10 days, but what if there’s a prolonged power outage? What if you have to evacuate? You’re also not due for a refill.
What can you do? The answer—at least in part—is that it depends on where you live. ---CONTINUED---
