The end of the Church Age means the end of the US Empty The end of the Church Age means the end of the US

For those Believers who study the Bible from the Pre-Millennial Pre-Trib point of view, it becomes apparent to most that the United States is conspicuously absent from any significant role in the events of the Tribulation.

(There are, of course, those who don't believe as I do. This thread is not for you.)

Every empire rises, and every kingdom falls.
The US will be no different.
But who will take us out?

We are the staunchest defender of Israel, so Satan has a special hatred for us. He has already destroyed any chance that European countries will come to Israel's aid, and now he has his sights set on us.

This is why, I believe, there are so many entities that desire to destroy us.

I don't go to church , but I know their is a God....I shouldn't be alive right now I should have died on the operating table 14 yrs ago , but thru the grace of God I didn't....

What really scares me is that God will throw his hands up and turn his back on us kinda like we made the mess we need to clean it up....

I'm far from. Bible scholar. Actually embarrassingly I can admit I've never read the Bible cover to cover. I think I need to make a point to find the time to do so.

I am however excited that in my personal situation my job has changed. I will now for the first time in about 10 years have Sundays off. My wife and I want to take advantage of that and get back into a Sunday routine of going to church.

I think there is a direct correlation of how messed up our country currently is and how we treat Christianity. In my opinion I think there is a clear inverse relationship with the % religious people and how the media/pop culture portray Christians compared to the general well being and cohesiveness of our country.

It's no surprise that the less Christian our country has become and the way Christian's are mocked and ridiculed the more messed up our country has become.

It's very sad. I definitely feel like a sizeable portion of this country has turned their back on God. We probably deserve what we get.

I don't believe there will be any cleaning this mess up.
As I understand the Bible (and it is fairly clear) things
will go from bad to worse, until Jesus returns.

But, while He deals with nations in much the same way He dealt with them in ancient times, He has made provision for you and I, thru Jesus, to receive the free gift of eternal life. That is an individual thing. It doesn't matter how messed up the nation is, if you have faith in His completed work on the Cross and His Resurrection, you can have the gift of eternal life, free, for the asking.

Peronally, I don't recommend reading it from cover to cover. It isn't laid out in Chronological order, but by subject matter. (Well some parts of it are chronological...)

Some of the things I have found to be useful are:
1 Remember, the biggest watershed in the Bible is the Cross. Everything before the Cross proves we need salvation thru Grace. Everything after the Cross shows what Salvation thru Grace is.

I suggest people start by reading Luke, to get the story, and then read Galatians and Ephesians to get a good understanding of Salvation by Grace. (These two are short, six chapter letters, and are packed with more than most people can imagine. Read every phrase, and compare it to the passage it appears in. Paul said some amazing things in very few words.)

I am however excited that in my personal situation my job has changed. I will now for the first time in about 10 years have Sundays off. My wife and I want to take advantage of that and get back into a Sunday routine of going to church.

I agree with all you have said, but would also include the Jews. They are called the Apple of His Eye, and He will, after we are gone, reestablish His Kingdom thru them.

I agree with all you guys. I was born and raised catholic, so is my wife. We go to church every week, my wife says the rosary every night, she is very religious, was going to be a nun in her younger days.

We raised our kids the same way but only one goes to church regularly.

Seems like people pray a lot more when they're in trouble and that's about the only time.

I was also raised Catholic in a small town just 30 minutes south of Boston, MA, but have walked away from the church.

When I was in high school there were stories about altar boys being abused, and by 2002 it had broken wide open in a major scandal (search on Boston Catholic sex abuse scandal if you want to know more.) What struck me at the time was how the upper levels of the church's leadership were focused on hushing things up rather than removing bad priests and having them dealt with in the courts. They were more worried about bad publicity than doing the right thing.

And when the Pennsylvania scandal came to light just last year it was the final nail in the coffin for any hope I might reconcile with the church. While individual priests might be good and holy men, I strongly believe that the Catholic church itself is rotten to the core and needs to fade into history.

For a short but good article on the abuses of the Catholic church world-wide over the last few decades, pop over to the BBC website at: https://www.bbc.com/news/world-44209971

Trying to swing back onto the original topic, I think that people's actions are much more important than their professed beliefs. Plenty of sinners wrapped up in religious garbs, and more than a few folks who don't bother with organized religion but are moral and good people. Sure, most folks are just self-absorbed idiots (see social media for plenty of examples), but I don't think that's what will bring the US down...I see our downfall coming from the political class just cashing in on their positions and not looking to position the country for the future. One of the many reasons I prep.

Not here to debate the Catholic vs Protestant thing.
That would be a different thread, and not helpful here.

Actions often tell you what someone believes. A normal person does not place their hand on iron that is glowing red, because they believe it will burn them, for instance.

Read what I told you, in the Bible, and let me know if you have any questions. Also, I have found some books to be helpful in understanding the Scriptures, but which ones? Depends on how far along you are on understanding. When someone first pointed me to a Strongs Concordance and a Vines dictionary, they were useless to me. Way over my head. Now, 12 years later, I find them useful.

We have had quite a bit of topic drift here, so if we continue this, maybe we need a different thread.

Funny - I see an upsurge in Christianity. I regularly visit some off the wall sites because I like to know everything, not just who agrees with me, but who also disagrees (I observe only, never participate in the discussions). I like to know the enemy. Some of those websites are...outside the norm, including no censoring, so all sorts of foul language, sexual innuendo, sexist/racist comments, etc.

But on one such site, despite all the name-calling, I've seen more Christian discussion, mostly positive, in the last month or so. It surprised me that self-avowed kids who "live in their parents' basement, play video games, and spend all their time on the internet" were quoting and discussing some serious Biblical principles.

I think Christians have been hiding their light under a bushel due to the past rough years, and now, some are creeping out from under it, and in the most unlikely places.

I believe Christianity is making a comeback. People are especially tired of the degeneracy, and a lot of them feel the media has glorified sin...and they're looking for answers to living life in a better way.

I think your timeline is too short.

would be interesting to know where you are seeing more Christians, even though I didn't say anything about a lack of them. (Go back and read my opening paragraph for this thread.)

And you are right, the media glorifies sin. But they aren't the only ones. The Deep State and the Education Establishment (commonly called Socialist Indoctrination system) is trying to erase it from our history by systematically rewriting history (they have actually photo-shopped God out of some documents). And the delusions of the Leftists in Congress are another sign that we are going to fall.

I will expand on this later, but I see the US being attacked on four fronts.

1. Socialism from Russia and China
2. Islamists from Iran and the Muslim Brotherhood
3. Cyber attacks, from Russia, China, N. Korea, Iran, and others
4. Drug Cartels, from Mexico, Central America, and China
and the Fifth Column would be the "Progressives"
and Mainstream Media from our own country.

(As I said before, if you don't have a Biblical, Pre-Millennial view,
this thread is not for you.)

I believe you TRex. Not disagreeing. We are in for a terrible time.

I'm just finding it interesting that where I never saw Christianity before, I'm seeing discussions about it (for and against) on some forums that disavowed Christianity in the past - it was there, but buried deep because it never saw the light of day unless you looked for it. However, in the last month or so, it's not so buried on one particular website and I just found it interesting to see. There's not a lot, it's simply a glimmer. But before, there wasn't even that. Not sure if it's real or not. Maybe they're just shills lulling people into a false sense of security.

As for the four fronts - that is exactly what the forums I looked at iterated. They expounded on it more, too. There are some that say they are fringe/conspiracy.

Too much evidence says they're not. We are being attacked at our core and most sheeple don't even know it.

I think, rather, that they are scared, and desperate.
Atheists are often quietly desperate.

I came up with that over the past dozen weeks.
So much for my originality Laughing

I think it is original to many people - smart people work things out logically. Don't negate your ability to discern. Smile

With everything that is happening in Israel, I think this thread deserves a re-read, and maybe an update.
