Current events chat

In no particular order or topic I just wanted to talk about current events.

In the past few weeks I've increasingly felt there are some really ominous signs and a general uneasy feeling that I can't shake.

Our political system is completely in shambles and on the verge of a coup. We have unprecedented social and political anger. There is non stop proposed gun control legislation and the increasing growth of socialism.

Iran is up to no good and agitating at every opportunity.

There is no progress on NK and they are testing SLBMs again.

There are frequent stories that the economy is slowing down and a recession is imminent.

The trade war with china carries on and china continues to build up their military.

At every turn it looks as if the world is a complete powder keg.

I am a believer in the deep state cabal. I feel they are becoming desperate as well. I'm not so sure I believe in false flags but I wouldn't rule it out either. I am really concerned for where our country and the world is going.

Anyone else have any thoughts?

I think we have let NK go to the point that short of attacking them there is nothing we can do. They either have nukes already or will have them very shortly..

The bad thing is fat boy thinks he has us by the short and curlys and very soon he will start making his demands..


I think Iran already has nukes why else would they be acting so cocky and arrogant . The bombing the Saudi oil refinery was really pushing the limits they desperately want Israel to retaliate so they can try and wipe them off the face of the earth or at least that is what they say they want to do..

I think if China or Russia do anything if will be more covert. Why would they want to destroy the country's infrastructure if they are planning on moving in...

I love our country and I served 20 yrs to protect it but I think our government is a disgrace they are fighting like 2 little spoiled kids over the ball on the play ground and its not just 1 side its both..

I think the whole recession /trade war thing is misdirection. Some of our greatest magicians did their best tricks by using misdirection.

I noticed the gun control thing has pretty much dropped out of the news. Nobody talks about the national debt anymore or a balanced government. I am still trying to figure out the end game...

Last but not least .. I have noticed that I don't sleep well anymore and my wife doesn't either.. I wake up and go to bed feeling that time is getting short.. I have felt this way for a while and I can't shake it.. What bothers me even more is I talk to folks when I am out at the store and for the most part they either have blinders on or they are just to stupid to care..

I agree with both you guys. I don't watch much news until winter hits and then I watch a lot of it.

The mainstream media, 24/7 pushes their narrative and doesn't care about the normal person, only their agenda. Some they push is true and some is false and the snowflakes of America can't tell the difference, let alone they get most of their news off social media.

I'm old school, 6 years Marine Corps and 15 months of that was in Viet Nam and 2 years as a drill instructor, nothing really bothers me anymore, it is what it is and nothing you can do about it, other than prepare for the worse.

My wife of 47 years is fighting breast cancer and like she says, it is what it is, nothing you can do but pray and fight it and if you don't, just lay down and die.

1-Hypothetical situation..

Trump gets impeached Pence is made president how will the rest of our enemies NK,China,Iran react ??

2- A Democrat gets elected how will the world react ??

I think if somebody is going to do anything nasty to us they would wait for the election and hope the democrats to get in office. I think they see them as weak...

What is your thoughts ???

I think any belligerent leader or nation would naturally want to test "the new guy" to see how they respond and what they can get away with.

No different than. Bunch of kids misbehaving for a substitute teacher, they do it because they think they can get away with it

There are multiple rumors/stories/links on the internet now about a bunch of reserve units getting activation orders for an unspecified domestic emergency.

If you look it up, and have an understanding of current events and the current political climate (for example https://nypost.com/2019/10/04/rashida-tlaib-dems-looking-to-arrest-white-house-officials-who-ignore-subpoenas/amp/) it doesn't take much imagination to think there is more going on then we know.

Oh good news everyone.... also rumors that Hillary might get another chance at it. With Bernie impeding drop out for health reasons, bidens camp imploding, Beto is a sinking ship that just leave Warren. They won't let her run, rumors have it Hillary will get another go.

Yea .. I've been putting those pieces together as well. It seems she's been in the news a bit more AND she seems more 'polished', more 'put-together' than she has been the past couple of years. She was looking haggard & shaggy ... not the professional look she had in the past. And then these past few weeks, she's really spruced up and has her 'Hillary' sparkle back. (as much as Hil can sparkle ... I'm not a fan of hers  )  

Then I heard an internet talk show host toss out the possibility of a Hillary 'escalator' moment like Trump ... coming out of the shadows since there's no strong Dem leader to get 'er done. I thought  THAT's why she suddenly looks so polished again! Time will tell ....
