Re: Chimney Maintenance and Safety
It's that time of the year to check your chimney, woodstove and your firewood.
I've had a fire going off and on for 2 weeks now but before I did, I cleaned my flue, cleaned the woodstove (inside) and checked the moisture content of my firewood, (20%) moisture.
And don't forget to check (test) your fire alarms and CO2 detectors (batteries).
Happy heating and keep warm

Re: Chimney Maintenance and Safety
Our HVAC people cleaned our chimney while they were out here replacing our heat pump unit. We're set for winter.
I'm glad, it's a chore Husband can no longer do. The pitch of the roof is too steep for his vertigo issues.
