2019 - NOVEMBER Prepping Updates
Weird - hope this new post doesn't come up twice!
Grocery shopping and Yard sales today.
Grocery shopping:
Restocked what we used
LTS:
3 turkeys - all to be cooked and dehydrated
Nothing at the yard sales today...
Our third cord of wood is arriving later today.
I bought some craft supplies to make some Christmas presents.

Re: 2019 - NOVEMBER Prepping Updates
We had an inch of snow on Thursday, far earlier than I've ever seen it. Makes me think winter will be early or will be much harder than usual.
So, decided to do the Sam's Club and Amish store runs for winter stock up.
50 pounds of sugar
48 pounds pinto beans
2 cases mushrooms
1 case canned green beans
1 case canned corn
1 case of chunky soup
2 packs of tea (600 bags)
Walnuts
Almonds
Beef Bouillon cubes
Chicken Bouillon cubes
1 case granola bars
3 pack of stuffing
50 pounds prairie gold wheat berries
3 types gelatin (each is about 4 boxes, less $$$ than store)
1 pound black rice
Bulk spices - vanilla beans, cloves, allspice
Whole amaranth grain (gonna experiment with it)
Husband cooked, dehydrated, and then food-saver-sealed one of the turkeys. The bags of turkey are now frozen for future use.
The thigh and drumstick meat he popped in the crock pot this morning. Turkey stew for supper.
The 3rd cord of wood is now stored in our woodshed.

Re: 2019 - NOVEMBER Prepping Updates
Taking care of the wife since her surgery, along with her daily chores, you know, dishes, laundry, cooking, etc.. I got dishpan hands now.
Rotated out 10 gallon of gas, refilled the back porch with firewood, ran the generators and cleaned the solar panels. Going to be nasty the next couple of days, rain to snow and cold.
Grandkids were off Friday and today, took them up in woods to hunt turkey and came back home. On my way back up after this post to get them.

Re: 2019 - NOVEMBER Prepping Updates
Rotated out 15 gallon of gas and 10 gallon of diesel. We've been having some snow now and then so have to run out and clean the solar panels off, pain in the butt.
The one daughter dehydrated some fruit and gave us a couple of bags. Stacked more firewood on the back porch, going to be 50 degrees come this Monday, a heat wave, before the next cold snap.
Took the younger granddaughter (9 yo) hunting this past Monday (buck season) under the mentorship program. She's one lucky girl, 2 buck came out (7:15 am) and she shot the bigger one (6 point), she was in her glory, but not as much as I was.
