ATLANTA - Gov. Brian Kemp, during a late-night press conference, announced two people in Georgia have tested positive for the COVID-19 virus. Both patients lived together and recently returned from Italy.

The patients lived in Fulton County, according to officials, and contacted their doctor once they returned and felt sick. Because of their travel history, they had contacted their doctor and arraigned to meet the doctor without putting the general public at risk...

MORGAN COUNTY, Ga. (WSAV) – Governor Brian Kemp announced Monday that officials have designated Hard Labor Creek State Park in Morgan County as a possible location for the isolation and monitoring of patients who may have been exposed to the coronavirus.

Hard Labor Creek State Park is a 5,804 acre park located about 50 miles outside of Atlanta.

Kemp said in a release that an isolated section of the park will hold emergency trailers and operations and will be separate from the rest of the property. ---CONTINUED---

ATLANTA, GA — A 14-day stay at home order is in place for the city of Atlanta. Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms signed the order Monday night. She made the announcement on Twitter, saying the decision was made "based upon our density & specific needs/concerns in Atlanta." ---CONTINUED---

GEORGIA — During a press conference Monday, Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp closed bars and nightclubs, banned groups of more than 10 people, and issued a shelter-in-place order for those who are medically fragile until April 6.

Georgia Hospital Worker With COVID-19 Found Dead At Her Home With Her Child

A 42-year-old hospital worker from Georgia who was found dead in her home last week tested positive for COVID-19. Police in Newnan, which is about 40 miles southwest of Atlanta, found the body of Diedre Wilkes in her home after a family member contacted the Coweta County Sheriff's Office to request a welfare check.

When officers arrived, they found Wilkes' body in the living room, with her four-year-old child lying next to her. Officials are awaiting the results of the autopsy to determine how she died. They said that she did not have any underlying health conditions, and was not showing any symptoms of COVID-19 before she died. ---CONTINUED---
