PENNSYLVANIA-CoVid 19 Cases & Outbreaks

Y'all peaked at around 6000 cases per day, and are now below 3000 cases per day, average. If you follow a similar curve as other states, you should be below 1500 cases per day in another month.

This is the beginning of the end of this pandemic, for the US. (Don't tell Biden. Kamala and Susan Rice are keeping him scared of the virus, so he won't come out of his basement.)

Definitely an up-tick. Nothing like the peak y'all (and almost every one else) had in Nov. Based on my own forecast model, I don't think it will last.

Note that the article you linked to was dated Aug 29th, last year. And it is a little deceptive. One of the "other" factors was pneumonia. Covid-19 induces Pneumonia, so a lot of the deaths were actually caused by the virus, but the patient also had pneumonia.

OTOH, many of the deaths were caused by something else, but the patient also had Covid19.  (I know I went over this, before, but probably on another forum.) I split the difference, logarithmically. The high number is 16 times as much as the low number, so if you take 4 times the low number, it is about 1/4th of the high number.

Current number of deaths is showing about 546,000, and one forth of that would be close to 137,000, were really from Covid. Now, in a typical year, we have somewhere near 3.5million people die in this country, and we are currently showing about 700,000 extra, this year. I suspect a lot of those were from side effects of a seemingly hopeless situation, and many people not seeking medical attention for serious illnesses, because they might get Covid.

In short, I think Covid actually killed less than 200,000 of us, and our countermeasures killed over 400,000 of us. The cure was worse than the virus.

Looks like your state is down, from almost 5000 cases per day to less than 3000 per day. Your state previously peaked above 6000 per day, then dropped to around 3000 per day.

I have noticed most states had a little "roller coaster bump" in April.

My suspicion is, this was an effect of both, loosening of restrictions, and one of the variants, B.1.1.7, which spreads a lot faster than other variants.

Despite fears, its faster spread only made a minor difference, and it, too, is running out of people to infect.
