The female that was shot has died.

Some twitter footage and 1 still photo on ZH. She's wearing jeans and what appears to be some sort of holster ? that rises just above the waist so she's likely a civillian. My heart is heavy when this happens but in a crowd that size it's a certainty people will get hurt.

I'm proud that people took a stand. We may not win but they will be heard.

Locate the footage of protesters overrunning Capitol Police. Cops are no longer trained for this type of confrontation.

Anyone who didn't see today coming spends too much time listening to the main stream propoganda/media outlets.

This isn't the least bit surprising if you've been paying attention.

There is real genuine outrage.

The more the media and political establishment ignore the real and genuine grievances and refuse to hear redresses from the citizens their anger continues to grow.

Why didn't they shoot the people that broke into Capitol ?
Where was the secret service at and why didn't they fire on the rioters ??
Where was the military at ??
Why did it take so long to get there ???

I am all about protest. They are a good way to start change.
What happened today is unacceptable they showed the world that it was that easy to get into our government buildings and disrupt the country.... They should have been shot when they came thru the front door....

There is video of the moment she was shot on Heavy dot com.

There are 3-4 Capitol Hill police officers behind her as a glass breaks, she's attempting to climb thru the glass and move forward. The shot comes from in front of her. Not clear but likely an LEO who shot.

I didn't see her clearly armed but it appears she had a holster on.

No one experienced in crowd control would have ever let her get that far. They could have easily moved forward and pulled her back.

Also Dave, there are numerous videos of the capital police LETTING the protesters into the capital. They moved the barrier to let them come in.

It was first reported that it was a teenage girl.

But the body was ID and was a woman, a 14 year veteran of the air force and married:

Secret Service are Treasury agents. They guard your money first. They have the Presidential protection team but these guys don't respond to protests. That is the role of Capitol Police who are separate from D.C. city police.

National Guard is called by their respective governors. There was a report that the President refused to call on or the DoD refused to respond with military units.

Park Police is responsible to estimate/report the size of the crowd. I didn't hear anything.

When Democrats do these things it's portrayed as "democracy in action" and that it's our fault for systemic failures and not listening to them.


When the right does it, it's portrayed as "a coup, a violent mob, an insurrection" full of hateful unhinged people who are wrong.



See the difference? The media controls the narrative. They want these event covered in a specific way. Make your own judgements for yourself.



The US capital is one of the most secure buildings in the country. Protestors aren't getting in easily. There are many stories and videos that show the protesters were either let in or were let in to be setup.

What I saw yesterday on the news was a mob attacking our capital building and our way of life...I saw a person dressed as a police officer move a barricade and let them in... I watched them break in thru windows and push thru doorways without fear of retribution...

When 911 happened Bush should have burned sand into glass to make a very loud statement "don't ever do this again" , but he didn't... People attacked our nations capital and then went home to celebrate and make no mistake the women the died will be a martyr and she will be the excuse to do this again.......

Yesterday our Nations Capital and our way of life was attacked and we did nothing.....

Look closely at the gloved hand. This was no uniformed CH cop. The hand emerges with a white dress shirt and suit sleeve. Alphabet Soup for sure. I won't say more.

Someone will improve the quality of this vid for a good look at the shooter's face.

Even if there is a "lull" and it dies down for a while it's still strengthening beneath the surface.

IMO this country has reached the point of irreconcilable differences. We have the media, social media, professors, and selfish politicians to blame for is.

Even if things appear to be going back to normal they're not. Look up through history what happens when a significant portion of the population no longer buys into the government process or accepts election results. Pretty much ever time everywhere it ends badly

They seem to be spreading their protests across too many states. OTOH, anyone involved in a riot (and I didn't say creating a riot) outside of their own state falls under federal felony laws.

No way a guy who hasn't accomplished anything in 47 years of politics who literally wouldn't leave his basement to campaign got more votes than obama or trump did. No way.  

Biden got less votes the Obama in every state, except, the battleground states somehow, someway biden crushed obama's totals in those most critical states.

How close do you think we are to that happening? To be honest now that I'm thinking about it I'm shocked it hasn't happened already so I guess for my part of the discussion I wouldn't be surprised to hear about an event like that at any time. There is a serious amount of anger out there.

Watching us teeter at the brink, I can't be sure if it is six days or six years.
I hope it is somewhere in between, as I am not ready (I didn't expect this stuff to happen until Trump's second term.), and after six years we will already be enslaved.

As for the particular kinds of attacks you specify above, those are ones I hope the Right does not employ. I don't think random violence will be of any help at all. I do expect that behavior from the Left, as their goal is the destruction of our country.
