I don't think I wrote all of the message you quoted. I think it is part my posting, and part someone else. I do think it may be accurate for the next two winters (annual outbreak), but not every winter after that. For the virus to have annual outbreaks after the first two winters, it would have to undergo further mutations, and this virus appears to be a dead end, in that fashion. (Caveat: I am a mathematician, not a virologist, so this virus may fool me, on that issue.)

Looks like we have a breakout of the virus in Iran. Looks like Zero Day is about the middle of Feb, so, working from there, by the 1st of March, we should expect around a few dozen cases. Pope Francis has missed a planned Mass with clergy in Rome due to an unspecified illness. Last night my wife told me of fairly extreme methods in Taiwan for control. If you enter a building like a bank or department store you walk through a spray mist of disinfectant. Military are all over taking random people temps on sidewalks.

Earlier I told of restaurants handing orders out at the door rather than allowing people to sit down to eat. Even McDonalds does that. You order though a screen and drop your money in a tray. Kinda like the self checkout at Wallyworld.
