Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin has ordered the closure of the country's Far East border to prevent the spread of the deadly coronavirus, the state-run TASS news agency reported Thursday.

MOSCOW, February 1. /TASS/. The Russian Aerospace Force’s five aircraft, which will carry military virologists on board, have been tasked with evacuating Russian nationals from China, following Russian President Vladimir Putin’s instruction, the Russian Defense Ministry told reporters on Saturday.

The Defense Ministry added that Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu had already ordered to set up an air force group to evacuate Russian nationals from China. ---CONTINUED---

Three patients in Russia have fled quarantine, in two unrelated cases, as the country has implemented strict protocol in the wake of the coronavirus outbreak that originated in Wuhan, China.

Thirty-four-year-old Guzel Neder told The Moscow Times that she fled a hospital with her young son, Leo, in the southern city of Samara after returning from a trip in Hainan, a Chinese island popular with Russian tourists. ---CONTINUED---

A total of 4 coronavirus cases have been registered on Russian territory, including the newest one. Those include two Chinese nationals, who have already been dismissed, as well as one Russian national who came from Italy and one Italian national. Besides, three Russian nationals evacuated from the Diamond Princess cruise ship remain in medical facilities.

The city of Moscow is prepared to allocate 10 more hospital buildings for the treatment of coronavirus infections, Mayor Sergey Sobyanin announced on Monday during the opening for a COVID-19 wing in City Hospital No. 67.

According to Sobyanin, seven Moscow hospitals currently have buildings set aside for patients diagnosed with the novel coronavirus and patients who are under observation due to suspected exposure.
