NEW YORK — Over 100 employees of the New York Police Department have tested positive for the coronavirus and nearly 7% of cops have called out sick, the department announced Monday.

In a press statement, the NYPD said that 100 uniformed cops and 29 “civilians” have tested positive for the virus. That’s about double the number of positive tests from three days earlier.

What are the chances that the National Guard that is there, put down the paper bags of food they're delivering and start picking up their AR's?

I say the chances are pretty good since I believe Pres Trump is going to quarantine that entire area.

Well Drink, according to your Gov., it's not going to peak for another week or two, so it is going to get worse. Yes, many cities are going to be in the same boat pretty soon.

The only hope in this is that the two drugs they are trying out on 1100 of New Yorkers will have some positive effects, but they won't know for sure for another week or so.

I hate to say this, but when they started bringing in the refer trucks last week, the death toll will be massive for NY city. I hope I'm wrong on this but I can see 100,000 plus deaths just in the city area within the next 2 to 3 weeks. CryingTears

The New York Governor is going to use the National Guard to go around to hospitals and confiscate their ventilators.

Do you think this will cause some conflicts, I sure do, especially if one of my family members would need one down the road and the Governor took them for NY city:

I don't think Dave, when you are basically in self quarantine, you are, by law to stay there until you are cleared by health officials. It's no different if you are ordered to be under house arrest for a crime.

I'm glad the judge did what he did, we're in a pandemic right now and for some crackpot, that has the virus to not stay put, well, there has, in the past been firing squads to eliminate the problem.

I agree with you on the order to stay at home.. If that what your told t do by a doctor or judge that's what you need to do.. I just don't agree with the ankle bracelet...

If you need to put a monitor on somebody you already know they are not going to play by the rules... They should lock them up to began with... In a few videos on you-tube I noticed police in China putting bar on doors Wink
