Federal Reserve warns congress that the U.S. debt/deficit is raising faster than the economy. Powell says the "debt" is unsustainable and congress needs to do something:

Yes, it is assured that the US economy will collapse at some point (and, most likely, the whole western civilization will collapse with it), but the question is _when_?
Over the past few months, we have pulled back from the next recession, which was right at our door (even though it was probably a year away), and we are, for right now, gaining altitude. The ultimate crash could be years away (although I don't see how) and we need to plan for two things (at least), a disaster in the near future, and one that is still far off.
